During my Junior and Senior years of high school, I was in our school’s AP Studio class in which, over the year, we developed a portfolio based on our Sustained Investigation we decided at the beginning of the year.

In my first year, 2022-2023, my investigation was painting the process in which an individual with Alzheimer’s’s memory slowly degrades, depicted through the story of a man as he forgets his life. Organized from top to down, the beginning of memory loss, to the bottom, at which little in remembered.

And in my second year, 2023-2024, I investigated my childhood, and the experience I had holding onto my creativity, as in many of my past friends, I have noticed most to not hold onto their childhood sense of creativity and curiosity. So, in an ode and thank you portfolio to my creative younger self, I explored the feelings and uses I experienced as a child.
